Never Before Seen Tornado Video

“At 5:41pm on May 22, 2011 one of the most powerful storms in the history of our nation ripped through the heart of Joplin, MO. The following video from the Joplin Schools captures the ferocious nature of this storm, but more importantly the resiliency and dedication of a school community committed to honoring the legacy of the seven children and one educator lost in the storm who were a part of our
Joplin Schools family. On August 17th at 7:45am, we will celebrate the return of our community’s most precious resource, our children.”
