MSSU to give $1k scholarships to Joplin students

JOPLIN, MO. (AP) – Missouri Southern State University plans to offer $1,000 scholarships to Joplin area students who were sophomores, juniors and seniors as of May of this year. The scholarships are being offered to students at Joplin High School, McAuley High School, College Heights Christian School and Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School. Ten for Joplin build still in need of donations

 JOPLIN, MO. – Oct. 29, 2011 – About 400 volunteers from the Tulsa and Joplin area joined hands and hearts today to raise the walls on 10 homes for tornado-impacted families. Ten for Joplin project

Beginning on Oct 29, Tulsa and Joplin Habitat for Humanity agencies are teaming together with hundreds of volunteers to build ten houses in sixteen days. The Ten for Joplin project will help place ten families impacted by the May 22 tornado into a home of their own. Donation helps replace fire gear destroyed by tornado

JOPLIN, MO. (Oct. 26, 2011) – The tornado that hit Joplin in May caused unimaginable devastation throughout community. Not only were homes, schools and a major hospital damaged and destroyed, the fire department also suffered significant loss. Barry Manilow to present instruments to Joplin Schools

Attorney General Koster obtains judgment against Georgia man in Joplin tornado charity fraud case
